A little about me...

Justina was born in Melbourne, Australia. After graduation Justina moved to Vail, Colorado with an opportunity to work for the 1999-2000 ski season. This is when she decided to call Vail home for the next 7 years. While in Vail Justina started working on the mountain doing ski rentals and once the winter season ended Justina worked in both retail and front desk/reservations in one of the hotels at the base of the mountain. In 2005 Justina met her husband in Vail and in 2007 they decided to relocate to his home town in Campton, New Hampshire. Justina and her husband continued to enjoy snowboarding and hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and spending time with family. However, after 8 years in beautiful New Hampshire they decided to move back to Colorado and decided Leadville would be the perfect place to call home. Justina has lived in Leadville for the past 7 years and after 5 years working in Summit she is happy to have found a new career path in real estate and a job close to home. When not working Justina continues to enjoy the outdoors and spending time with her numerous pets and horses.

It didn't feel like they were in my corner at any point through the home buying process. Overall, I experienced poor communication and support from them, and my negative experience was not related to looking and buying in a … Read More“seller’s market” as their response to my original review suggests. I scheduled a time to see a home with Bailey a few days in advance. 30m prior to our time to meet, I called Bailey to determine if we were going to meet at the property or carpool. At that time we found out that there was no appointment in place and she had failed to reach out and inform us. So we planned our day around something that had been canceled or was never scheduled. We should have looked for another realtor right then and there. Unfortunately, we continued working with RE/MAX. A house came on the market close to the top of my budget that seemed like it would be a perfect fit and I moved quickly to set up a viewing time with Bailey. After viewing it, I knew I wanted to make an offer. I was advised to make my best offer on the first offer because another person was interested in the property and likely going to put in an offer around the same time. In talking to both Bailey and Heather prior to formally putting in an offer, neither had talked to the selling agent directly by phone and it appeared Bailey had been communicating only via email. After the initial offer, our realtors came back recommending to now put in my best offer since they had been informed by the selling agent that someone else indeed had placed an offer. I ultimately upped our offer because I was very interested in the house and after watching the Leadville market closely for a year, I thought it was wise to act. A few weeks after going under contract, I was asked if I could find a way to move up the closing because the seller wanted to close sooner rather than later. Bailey relayed the message, and I worked many hours and made many phone calls to try to get all of the financing, insurance, etc. in order and to try to push up what was an initial 60 day closing. I gave her a new tentative closing date that worked for me, but did not hear back for a while, and checked in about a week before the new proposed closing date. She told me that the pushed up closing could not happen due to the fact the seller could not get a moving company in time. Again, at the final hour, after I initiated the communication, I found out we could not move forward with the seller's and our OWN realtor's request. Our realtors did not say, let's meet before we close and check the condition of the property. Instead I had to propose it and arrange it. There were some issues with the state of the house which were ultimately resolved in the eleventh hour, but it felt like I had to first advocate with my own realtors before they worked with the selling agent to find a solution. This is the second time I've gone through the home buying experience, iit was night and day between working with someone who cared about my experience and wanted to support me and someone who seemed to just be going through the motions to get to closing. I am very happy with my home but wish I had opted to work with a more supportive and communicative realtor." Read Less
